The Banks-Vernonia trail is one of my favorites! It's also tantalizingly close to the Crown-Zellerbock trail, which links Scappoose, OR to Vernonia and the BV trail. I've been trying to find a beginner-friendly loop that connects the two without too many 18% grade hike-a-bike sections.
